the past two.

So I was bad last week and neglected to write. Sue me. I will be short and sweet here, because A)I have to go to bed and B)nothing that interesting has happened.

Attack of the Chili Cheese Dogs Weekend
(aka last weekend)
Merna and I went out together both nights last weekend, and met up with no one else (from our group of girls). Not sure why. Friday we met Adam B. at Bed, then Merna and I proceeded to go to two more clubs, Home and Guesthouse. It was insane clubness, with full out dance marathons, bottle mooching, etc. I guess we got in everywhere so easily bc there were only two of us, as oppossed to the normal five or so. She shacked with me that night, and Sat afternoon when we woke up I was looking at her pics on her camera. I saw a pic of a hot dog she had taken in Coney Island and decided that I absolutely HAD to have a chili cheese dog. I tried looking up places to deliver one, but had no luck. I dragged Merna to the grocery store and spent $13 (I kid you not) on chili cheese dog supplies. I then made and inhaled two and felt sick-full after. That is, sick-full and awesome. We watched tv. Then, to make up for our laziness, went to Forever 21. Productivity is not my strength on weekends.

Sat night Mern and I went to 230 Fifth, the roof bar, to meet her "boy" Johnny and his friends for his bday party. His friends were guido-tastic, but nice enough. We drank for free, had a fun time, but the highlight of my night was actually coming home, cooking two more chili cheese dogs and eating them. Court, Justin and Becky were home and hanging out at this point, so we chilled til about 5am when I passed out, full and happy.

Thurs of this week we had a party at my work, and Sheri, Justin, Court and Becky came. There was free food and alcohol so needless to say it was pretty fun. I discovered I like whisky and ginger ale, which is exciting. I also like Stoli blueberi. I talked to the new girl a lot (she's my age) and decided she's someone I might go out with on the weekends, and that she will be fun to party with when we are in Rome for work. She also gets really drunk and looks for poles, and obtains unexplainable bruises on her body. So we have some stuff in common. Ha.

Thurs I got my second official drunk dial from Law School Boy (I didn't answer the ones from the previous weekend). I answered accidentally b/c I had been sleeping. I was kind of a bitch, told him not to call me so late, and that if he wants to hang out he needs to call early. I doubt that he listens, so I probably will not see him--which is fine with me. He is a fun kid to party with, but I refuse be his drunk dial booty call, and that's all there is to it.

This Weekend
Friday after work I went to the ATM to get some cash, and left my ATM card in the machine. This is the second time this has happened---it's those machines that suck your card in! (Most of them you just swipe; I obviously get confused.) I was not a happy camper later when I realized this. Neither was my mom. At least it wasn't my cell phone. Really, I could lose ATM cards all day; they are super easy to replace, thank God.

Fri night Court and I went out with Todd's friend who was in town. He works for the Rangers with Todd and was out with a bunch of guys he knew. They had a car for the night, so picked us up and took us to some sports bar in the Upper East Side. We sat at a table drinking all night, it was super chill. I managed to get pretty drunk, but was in control--I even turned down a jager shot. We went home early-ish, and were sleeping by 4 or so. Calm for us.

Saturday we went to Target, which was of course, awesome. I wanted to look for work clothes, but instead bought a vintage Disney fairy shirt and grey leggings. I am bad. And random. That night we met up with Cesar and his friends at Gaslight 2, where he bought us endless drinks and got me super drunk. However, not completely black out drunk, which may or may not be a good thing, because I drunk dialed Jason and made a complete ass of myself for an hour straight. I talked about random stuff then proceeded to talk dirty. And he was sober. I am officially that girl. I really need to stop the drunk dials, they are getting out of control.

Today I went shopping and watched two movies. (I consider that productive.)

This weekend I am going to LA with Sheri and Merna! I am so excited! I want to tan, shop, drink, and keep drunk dials to a minimum. I have a feeling I will achieve said goals. Except maybe the last one. :)

dancin up a storm

Last week I can't think of anything to report on. I had a half day at work Friday, which meant I left at 2, and shopped til I was hungry/tired, so then I ate and napped--and skipped the gym.

When I awoke from my hour and a half slumber, I decided to do an i-control workout--I opted for hip hop dance. It was taught by an Indian woman in huge MC-Hammer like pants. It was hilarious, but I had to turn it off because the movements became too fast for me. I then did yoga, which was the most horrible yoga workout I have ever done. It was also strange--it was an Asian guy in the middle of the desert doing yoga. Who comes UP with these weird workout videos? If you haven't checked them out, go to Free On Demand and look at some of them. You know, if you are bored or something.

Friday night Court, Justin, Becky and I went to dinner at this super-awesome BYOB French place called Ivo & Lulu's, which is in the West Village near the Soho border. The food was inexpensive and AMAZING. Literally everything we had was uber delish. We were there til almost 1am, then went to Libation in the lower east side. Libation is a mix of a club and a bar, but we were on the 2nd floor, which is more club-esque. We met up with this guy Court met at McFadden's a few weeks back. They were suppossed to have a dance-off. This guy danced a little differently to each song, and had endless energy. I tried to keep up with him but it was impossible. I think they said that the dance-off was a tie, but no one was really judging, being as we were all wasted. I also got way too drunk too fast and ended up leaving early because of it. I remember dancing was taking WAY too much effort. And maybe trying to keep up with dance-off boy was wearing me down fast.

Saturday Court, Becky, Justin and I wanted to get outside b/c it was beautiful. (Justin is staying with us for about another week--he got an apt but can't move in til then.) However, we didn't get out of the apt til late, and ended up laying out in Central Park from 4-5, meaning I got virtually no sun. I showered and then went to babysit from 7-11:30. After returning home, getting dressed and having a drink, Court and I went to meet Mike and Josh (the boys who we went to Lake George with) at Gaslight 2 in meatpacking. Mike, as usual, was being way too nice. I let it slide because this also included the buying of my drinks. I had a drink, a shot, then switched to beer. Yay! How responsible of me. We left Gaslight 2 and went to Home (a club) where more dancing commenced. Basically this meant me dancing with Mike, since he likes to act as if he is my super-way-too nice boyfriend. Seriously, he went to the bathroom with me when I went (so I didn't get lost?) and waited outside. Who does that? I did end up getting pretty drunk, being as he was shoving beer down my throat, and subsequently ended up making out with him on the dancefloor. C-l-a-s-s-y. I know this behavior is contradictory to how I feel. I know I should not do this. But drunk making out is fun. I just hope he doesn't try to get all weird and want to take me on a date or something.

Anyway, we danced til 4am. I am counting these nights-0-dance as workouts.

Sunday (today) Becky, Justin, Sheri and I made it to Bryant Park a little before 3 and got a few good sun rays in, though I don't think I got any more tan. Later, Court, Beck, Just and I went to see "Little Miss Sunshine," which was really cute. Parts of it were sad, but most of it was lighthearted and funny. At one point I laughed so hard I cried--which I love doing. Other highlights of the day include eating icecream twice. I go in for lyposuction tomorrow. I wish.

This week: Wed my work is taking the employees to a Yankees game. Everyone gets to take a date. Can you guess who mine is? Yea, my girlfriend, Courtney. They said they bought the more expensive seats so we can drink. I hope this makes it more fun, since I know nothing about baseball. Also this week, Law School Boy comes back from Europe. We have been talking on IM quite often while he was abroad, but I don't know how things will be in reality with him since I made it clear before he left that I am not his late night booty call... Stay tuned.

rubbing shoulders with the rich and famous. not really.

So I was sick most of last week. I was OK Monday and got my workout for the whole week (I was so bad!) at yoga. I got sick Tues, but sucked it up and went to dinner with Court, Liz and Sheri that night. I sucked it up again Wed and went to wine class after work--which is really fun and interesting--and felt, I think, the worst on Thurs. I then stayed in both Thurs and Friday night! The Friday part is especially shocking, I know. It was nice, though, I got to catch up on sleep, and woke up early Saturday to go lay out with Sheri at the Holiday Inn.

What?

Yea, I know, random. First of all, no one was really into the whole Hurrican Harbor water park idea except for Merna and I--who were both sick all week. So we blew that off. Sheri and I researched hotel pools that you can go lay out at--for a price. The Holiday Inn was $50 so we decided we better make it a full day and get our money's worth. We were there from 12-5:30. We got tan; it was awesome...except for the odd crowd. We felt like we were in Florida--at an old folks' home. 75% of the people there were elderly, leather-skinned and way too tan. They should not have been in the sun! Or in bathing suits. It made us feel hotter, though, so whatever.

Saturday Cindy (from our sorority/college--who is married now) came in town and was staying with Sheri and Merna. The four of us went to dinner in the West Village. Citysearch misinformed us and told us the retaurant was BYOB, so we brought our own wine, only to find out it no longer was BYOB. Luckily the host was young, and he let us get away with having our classy Trader Joe's wine (a grocery store's wine brand) and some random $8 riesling I found. It was pretty embarrassing/awesome. While waiting for our table, Maggie Gyllenhaal walked by us. This is the second time I have seen her since living here! Then, while seated (it was a sidewalk cafe), we saw Jeremy Sisto (aka Elton from "Clueless"). When he walked by I nudged Merna and whispered, "He's famous, he's famous," because I couldn't quite picture who he was...but he is cute in real life.

After dinner we went to the Gansevoort--thus being my third weekend here in a row. Why we (I) get stuck on going to the same places is beyond me, it's not even on purpose. We hung out upstairs for a bit, then decided to show Cindy a NYC night club--since Aer, another staple place, was across the street. We went to Aer and this is the point where I get really drunk--again I failed to switch to beer. We then return to the Gansevoort and head downstairs to G Spa, the tiny little club area. I was sitting next to some guy who is pretty cute, chatting it up, telling him how this was my third time there in three weekends. I mentioned the first time I came and that I was with my friend from the Astros--this leads to him telling me that he plays professional sports as well. I asked for whom, he told me the Knicks. No shit! I was like, sorry, I don't really know anything about the Knicks... Anyway, his name was David Lee and he is my age. He was nice, I stole his drink, then he got distraced by flirty girls and I wasn't up to vying for his attention so I kind of zoned out. Also I was really drunk. I remember him asking why I was being so quiet, and at some point kissing my forehead, but it is all a little fuzzy. All in all, it was a pretty impressive evening, at least celeb-wise.

Speaking of celebs, NY Magazine just came out with a celeb map, which I had fun clicking around for about an hour...go at it if you are bored:
Celeb Stalking

When I got home and told Court, Becky and Justin (who had ventured to Brooklyn for the night) about my shoulder-rubbing, Courtney mentioned that her friend Cesar (who she sort of dated last winter) is friends with David Lee. What a small world! I do remember David saying he went to UF--as did Cesar, so it makes sense. Maybe we will rub shoulders again. Or something else. Kidding, kidding.
